Glutinous rice – Microwave method – By June Loy Chye Khiaw

Glutinous rice –  microwave method 
Ingredients : 300g glutinous rice(washed)
50g dried prawns (rinsed)
1 Chinese sausage, diced
5 shallots, sliced
3 tbsp. oil
5 pieces of dried mushrooms (soaked in hot water), sliced
50g peanut(rinsed)
1 stalk of spring onion

Method:
1.Microwave peanut on High power for 2-3minutes, uncovered, stir in between
2.Microwave shallot with oil on High power for 3-4 minutes, uncovered
3.Dehydrate dried prawns on High power for 1 minute, next add 1 tsp oil and microwave for another 11/2 minutes, uncovered
4.Cook glutinous rice, with 1 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp light sauce and shallot oil on High power for 3minutes, uncovered
5.Add mushrooms, 1/2 of the dried prawns and enough water to cover ,cook on High power for 15 minutes, covered
6.Serve with spring onion, peanut and dried prawns.
