Earl Grey Almond Cake – By May Tay

Earl Grey Almond Cake 
Ingredients :
150g plain flour
1/8tsp baking powder
150g butter
130g icing sugar
1/2tbsp honey
3 eggs
1/8tsp salt
2 sachets earl grey tea dust
18g ground coarse almond
1tbsp fresh milk
1 whole lemon zest (chopped finely)

1. Shift flour & baking powder together.
2. Whip butter, icing sugar, honey until light & very fluffy.

3. Add eggs one by one and whip well

4 add salt, tea dust, ground almonds, lemon zest, milk and mix well

5. Add flour mixture and fold thoroughly

6. Pour into a 7″ cake tin

7. Oven 170 for 50mins.

8. Ready, cool and serve to eat.
(*) add more almonds if you prefer a more nutty taste
(*) add 1 more bag of tea dust if you prefer stronger flavor.
